there is a child who finds hope again.
For over 25 years, the Fondation Tremblant has been a driving force for change in the MRC des Laurentides, tackling child poverty with a compassionate, structured, and deeply community-rooted approach.
Our mission: To empower underprivileged children to grow and thrive by supporting the organizations , in the MRC des Laurentides that work for their well-being, while raising community awareness to create lasting change.
Supporting children today, building a sustainable future.
From nutritious meals and essential supplies to opportunities for children to play, move and grow, educational and artistic projects— as well as specialized support for speech therapy, psychological support, grief counselling, addiction prevention, and assistance for children living with disabilities — these are just some of the realities we help ease, thanks to the generosity of our donors and partners.
Because each child deserves an equal chance, we believe that by supporting today’s youth, we are building a stronger, more caring, and more resilient community for tomorrow.
You can see it in the calm gaze of a young person receiving help.
You can feel it in the renewed confidence of a parent who finds support.
You can hear it in the many stories of small and great victories shared here.
They testify to the impact of the Foundation
“Assigning two student volunteers for the entire year was a wonderful success. They took their role very seriously and developed great teamwork with the other 6th graders.
In fact, all the students participated in rotation throughout the year, and the 5th graders are already eager to take their turn next year.
We hope this experience inspires a spirit of helping others — shaping adults who will stay involved in causes that matter to them.”
Mélanie, mother of Logan (supported child)
**“Hello, I would like to express my gratitude for the care and support given to my son this summer at day camp. Logan benefited from the accompaniment program, and knowing that Granola was with him during those weeks made him feel secure and eager to participate.
Logan felt confident and reassured — and so did we as parents. He had beautiful days at camp, filled with joy. Thanks to this support, my son had a truly wonderful summer. Thank you for giving Logan the chance to have fun and build confidence in himself. See you next summer!”**
(on free summer camp weeks)
**“Thanks to the Fondation Tremblant, several children from the Cœur des Laurentides Social Pediatrics Centre enjoyed a truly enriching experience this summer by attending day camp. This camp offers far more than a simple summer break — it gives children the chance to recharge, build confidence, and form social connections in a safe environment.
The wide range of activities — sports, arts, group games, and outdoor exploration — promotes the development of essential social skills such as collaboration, communication, and autonomy. For these children, the camp was a real breath of fresh air, strengthening their self-esteem and sense of achievement.
We express our deep gratitude to the Fondation Tremblant for its support, which has made a tangible difference in the lives of these young people who, without this help, could not have participated.”**
Mélanie, mother of Logan (supported child)
“Dear Fondation Tremblant,
I want to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful gift you gave my child — allowing him to attend a week at day camp free of charge. He discovered karate, made new friends, and had an incredible week filled with activities that brought him so much joy! Every evening, he came home with stars in his eyes.
Thank you so much for giving him this opportunity — one I could not have afforded otherwise. Your contribution truly made a difference in our summer. A thousand thanks again!”
Myriam Tyson, former Executive Director – Parents Uniques
“Thanks to the Fondation Tremblant’s donation, Parents Uniques was able to offer fun and festive activities throughout the year to families affected by domestic violence. Treasure hunts, swimming, educational outings, and movie nights allowed more than 50 mothers and children to experience moments of joy and connection.
The day camps and the renovation of family rooms and play areas also greatly contributed to the families’ well-being. Without this support, these precious moments of happiness — so rare in a context of violence — would not have been possible.”
A single mother of four children
“I’m a single mother of four, and Parents Uniques has been a lifeline for me. When I was pregnant, isolated, and struggling, the organization welcomed me without judgment and offered me a warm space that helped break my loneliness.
I received material assistance — clothing and back-to-school support — and took part in cooking workshops adapted to my reality. Thanks to them, I even joined a community kitchen while a volunteer cared for my children.
Simple activities, like an apple-picking outing, also brought lightness back into our daily lives. Parents Uniques has profoundly improved my quality of life.”
“Thanks to the Fondation Tremblant, we were able to provide food assistance to nearly one hundred families throughout the year.
Christmas and Easter baskets brought joy to so many children. Thank you!”
Monique Lussier – Directrice générale
Luc is the father of two children. Two years ago, his wife passed away from cancer. He cared for her until the very end.
“The months following her death were extremely difficult. I couldn’t get back on my feet. I lost my job, and things went downhill financially. I had to register for food assistance.
It helped me enormously, and I am deeply grateful to Bouffe Laurentienne — not only for the food support but also for the encouragement and listening ear they provided.”
Today, Luc is back at work and doing well. He no longer needs food assistance.
“Every week, around 250 children from low-income families rely on our food assistance services across our eight food banks.
The Foundation’s donation is crucial — it allows us to purchase additional essential groceries.”
Marie-Stéphane Asselin – Directrice générale
“The Fondation Tremblant’s donations have made it possible to provide speech therapy evaluations and treatments to 45 disadvantaged children in the MRC des Laurentides.
The children have made tremendous progress, and we are proud to have helped improve their quality of life.
Without the Fondation Tremblant’s support, we simply wouldn’t have been able to help so many children.”
Stéphane Lalonde – President, Speech Therapist, CASO
“Thanks to the Fondation Tremblant’s grant, Espace Ludiko was able to work in six schools, including three in underprivileged areas, offering playful learning activities directly in classrooms.
This educational support helped both teachers and students — especially those with limited opportunities to play at home — to develop skills such as reasoning, logic, and reading comprehension, while encouraging perseverance in school.
The games, adapted with visual aids and simplified instructions, promoted autonomy and engagement, even among more reluctant students, strengthening both learning and group cohesion.”
Magalie Taillon, Club des Petits déjeuners
“Thanks to your support, nutritious breakfasts are served every morning to all schoolchildren, without discrimination. These friendly moments encourage connection in a caring environment and contribute to children’s academic success by improving learning capacity, behavior, and concentration through hunger relief.
Your help has allowed us to meet growing demand, bridge our financial gap, and continue welcoming every child in need — ensuring essential daily support.”
“Giving our lead student volunteer the chance to develop independence has been a real achievement.
She’s responsible for returning the bins every day, supported by a small team she supervises with our guidance.
We’ve seen a remarkable increase in her self-confidence from the start of the year to the end.”
